Mixed marker record

Artichoke Extract

A mixed marker record from the cholesterol-correction period: lipid markers improved while ALT and AST remained watch markers. Personal marker history with overlapping interventions, not proof of isolated causality or an instruction to copy.

Experiment window: August 25, 2025 to Jan 16, 2026. Did artichoke extract deserve to stay as part of the lipid-marker stack?

Bloodwork Story

Why this date matters

The August 25, 2025 bloodwork is the anchor because ApoB, LDL-C, and total cholesterol were the visible marker problem. This entry belongs to the same lipid experiment window.

What changed

From August 25, 2025 to January 16, 2026, ApoB moved from 87 yellow to 66 green, LDL-C from 113 red to 77 green, and total cholesterol from 216 red to 151 green. Liver markers did not show a clean success story: ALT moved from 28 yellow to 31 yellow and AST from 27 yellow to 30 yellow, while GGT stayed green from 8 to 9.

How I read it

Artichoke extract is not separable from the rest of the cholesterol stack in these records. The reason it stays listed is that it was part of the period where the lipid panel corrected, and the basic liver-marker watch did not show an obvious new problem in the uploaded panels.

Marker Record

Improved lipid markers

ApoB

Aug 25, 2025 87 yellow
Jan 16, 2026 66 green

Improved during the artichoke extract tracking window.

LDL Cholesterol

Aug 25, 2025 113 red
Jan 16, 2026 77 green

Moved from red to green by the follow-up panel.

Total Cholesterol

Aug 25, 2025 216 red
Jan 16, 2026 151 green

Moved from red to green by January 2026.

Liver watch markers

ALT

Aug 25, 2025 28 yellow
Jan 16, 2026 31 yellow

Safety context only; no clear improvement signal.

AST

Aug 25, 2025 27 yellow
Jan 16, 2026 30 yellow

Safety context only; still yellow in the uploaded table.

GGT

Aug 25, 2025 8 green
Jan 16, 2026 9 green

Stayed green across the tracking window.

The Experiment

Current stack entry

1,200 mg per day from Nutricost Artichoke Extract.

Protocol

The logged stack entry is 1,200 mg per day of artichoke extract after the daily large meal. This documents the current entry and anchors the experiment to the August 25, 2025 bloodwork. It is not a suggested protocol.

Primary markers

The main markers are ApoB, LDL-C, and total cholesterol. ALT, AST, and GGT are included as watch markers because I do not want a lipid-marker experiment to hide a liver-marker cost.

Decision rule

Artichoke extract keeps its place if lipid markers remain favorable and liver markers do not show a concerning drift on repeat panels.
