Cardarine: Lipid Markers

My first Cardarine run produced no meaningful improvement in endurance, training feel, or recovery. Revisiting the human lipid research gave me a separate question: what happens to my bloodwork? Personal experiment record, not medical advice, prescribing, sourcing guidance, or an instruction to copy.

Primary question: Do ApoB, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides improve during this run?

The earlier result stands

The June 2026 run is still completed as no signal for endurance, training feel, and recovery. A useful bloodwork result in this run would answer a new question; it would not rewrite what happened in the first experiment.

What the bloodwork record will show

The main readout is ApoB together with LDL cholesterol, non-HDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. Comparisons will show collection dates, units, absolute values, and changes from the nearest available pre-run panel. Similar fasting and collection conditions make those comparisons more useful. An isolated HDL rise will be recorded alongside the other markers, not treated as the whole result.

Weight trend, calorie intake, training, ezetimibe, thyroid treatment, and androgen exposure belong beside the bloodwork timeline. Anavar was also added to the ledger on September 10, so the surrounding routine is part of the interpretation. Energy, recovery, and training feel remain secondary observations.

What would count as useful

A meaningful improvement across the lipid markers, especially ApoB and LDL/non-HDL cholesterol, would give this run a useful result even if training feels unchanged. A small isolated fluctuation would need a repeat measurement before it drives the conclusion. The run is active; new bloodwork results have not yet been entered on this page.

Research Summary

Why blood markers are a separate question

GW-501516 activates PPAR-delta, a receptor involved in regulating fatty-acid use and lipid metabolism. In a two-week randomized study, six moderately overweight men received GW-501516; LDL, triglycerides, and ApoB fell, while HDL was unchanged. Muscle CPT1b expression and oxidation of meal-derived fat increased. These were measurable metabolic effects, independent of whether someone noticed a workout benefit. Risérus et al., 2008.

The 12-week human trial

A randomized trial enrolled 268 people with low HDL cholesterol and compared placebo with 2.5, 5, or 10 mg/day for 12 weeks. The paper reported HDL increases up to 16.9% at 10 mg, plus reductions in LDL cholesterol of 7.3%, triglycerides of 16.9%, and ApoB of 14.9%. A smaller companion study also found changes in lipoprotein particle concentrations. This is the direct human evidence behind the new bloodwork focus. Olson et al., 2012.

What those results do not establish

The 12-week trial studied up to 10 mg/day; it does not validate my recorded 15 mg fasted schedule. It measured lipid markers, not fewer heart attacks or other cardiovascular events. Development was terminated after serious preclinical toxicities, as documented in WADA's 2013 substance alert. Favorable bloodwork would answer this experiment's question without resolving the compound's long-term safety concerns.
