Green Tea Extract

A cardiometabolic marker-improvement record from the green tea extract tracking window: cholesterol markers improved and glucose control stayed clean. Personal marker history with overlapping interventions, not proof of isolated causality or an instruction to copy.

Experiment window: August 25, 2025 to Jan 16, 2026. Did green tea extract deserve to stay as part of the cholesterol and metabolic-health stack?

Bloodwork Story

Why this date matters

The August 25, 2025 bloodwork is the anchor because that was the cholesterol problem: ApoB 87 yellow, LDL-C 113 red, and total cholesterol 216 red. This entry belongs to the same lipid and metabolic experiment window.

What changed

By January 16, 2026, ApoB was 66 green, LDL-C was 77 green, and total cholesterol was 151 green. HbA1c moved from 5.2 green to 4.9 green, and glucose moved from 88 green to 80 green. The signal is supportive, not isolated.

How I read it

This is a whole-stack cardiometabolic experiment. Green tea extract may be one contributor, but the marker movement also overlaps with plant sterols, artichoke extract, omega-3, training, diet, and body-composition changes.

Marker Record

ApoB

Aug 25, 2025 87 yellow
Jan 16, 2026 66 green

Improved during the green tea extract tracking window.

LDL Cholesterol

Aug 25, 2025 113 red
Jan 16, 2026 77 green

Moved from red to green by the follow-up panel.

Total Cholesterol

Aug 25, 2025 216 red
Jan 16, 2026 151 green

Moved from red to green by January 2026.

HbA1c

Aug 25, 2025 5.2 green
Jan 16, 2026 4.9 green

Stayed green and moved in the preferred direction.

Glucose

Aug 25, 2025 88 green
Jan 16, 2026 80 green

Stayed green and moved in the preferred direction.

The Experiment

Current stack entry

500 mg per day from Thorne Green Tea Phytosome.

Protocol

The logged stack entry is 500 mg per day of green tea extract after the daily large meal. This documents the current entry and anchors the experiment to the August 25, 2025 bloodwork. It is not a suggested protocol.

Primary markers

The main markers are ApoB, LDL-C, total cholesterol, HbA1c, and fasting glucose. I am not treating any one marker as proof that green tea extract worked by itself.

Decision rule

Green tea extract keeps its place if cardiometabolic markers stay favorable and it remains easy to tolerate inside the daily stack.
