Forty-eight consecutive injection days produced no repeatable change in energy, fatigue, recovery, or mental clarity. Research Summary

What it is

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+, is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, redox reactions, and signaling. The biological role is established; the practical question was whether injecting NAD+ would create a detectable real-world result for me.

Why I used it

I originally added NAD+ as background support alongside my MOTS-c experiment. The two were part of the same mitochondrial-support context, not a known physiological requirement or a claim that MOTS-c depends on injected NAD+.

Evidence boundary

Directly administered NAD+ has a thin human evidence base. A small intravenous pilot described how NAD+ and its metabolites moved through plasma and urine during a six-hour infusion, but it did not establish improved energy, exercise performance, recovery, or longevity. That makes exposure and personal benefit separate questions.

Safety boundary

Injectable use adds a product-quality and sterility consideration that does not apply to ordinary oral supplements. FDA has reported adverse reactions associated with excessive endotoxins in some compounded injectable NAD+ products. This record documents my use; it is not sourcing guidance or an endorsement of injection.

Protocol

I used subcutaneous NAD+ every day from July 3 through August 19, 2026. The 48-day record totals 1,390 mg: 44 days at 30 mg, three days at 20 mg, and one day at 10 mg.

Question

The useful result would have been a repeatable improvement in daily energy, fatigue resistance, training recovery, or mental clarity. I was looking for a practical signal rather than treating the role of NAD+ in cellular metabolism as evidence that an injection must be helpful.

Result

I did not identify a repeatable subjective change in energy, fatigue, recovery, or mental clarity. A possible cardio-efficiency observation appeared during the broader mitochondrial-support period, but NAD+ began only three days after PQQ and Ubiquinol and overlapped with MOTS-c, training adaptation, and other changes. No independent NAD+ result can be assigned from that observation.

Decision

I am closing the experiment as no signal. I already have additional stock and am continuing to use it as an unverified background intervention in case it provides benefits that are not directly perceptible. Continued use does not change the experiment result and is not evidence that NAD+ was helpful.
