The longer I experiment with compounds, the harder it is for me to believe social-media accounts where everything seems to work.
My experience has been almost the opposite.
At the time I first wrote this, 13 experiments in my public ledger were complete. Only four had produced a clearly helpful result. The others ended as no signal, not effective, intolerable, or inconclusive.
That does not prove those compounds do not work. It means the protocol I tested did not produce a meaningful enough result for me.
Failure is normal
Sometimes the protocol may have been wrong. Sometimes I may have tested too little, or not long enough. Sometimes properly testing a higher amount becomes too expensive to remain realistic. Sometimes I may not have been starting from a place where that intervention could help.
And sometimes the honest conclusion is simply: I took it, and I do not know what happened.
That is what real experimentation has looked like for me. It is expensive, imperfect, and frequently ambiguous.
I understand why people share mostly positive experiences. Success is more exciting to talk about. Not everything can be captured through bloodwork, a wearable, or a perfectly controlled protocol. Some results are inherently qualitative, and that does not make them imaginary or meaningless.
But even a qualitative report can say more than “it worked” or “I love it.”
What useful qualitative reporting includes
- What changed?
- When did it change?
- How noticeable was it?
- Did increasing the amount help?
- What did not improve?
- Were there side effects?
- Was anything else changing at the same time?
Those details help other people decide how much weight the experience deserves.
Commercial incentives raise the obligation
The part that becomes difficult is when the same account repeatedly reports remarkable results, rarely shares failures or uncertainty, and almost every positive story is connected to a vendor or referral link.
That does not automatically make the experience false. Commercial involvement does not invalidate a personal observation. But I believe it creates an additional responsibility.
If I may benefit when someone purchases something I mention, then my failures, side effects, and inconclusive results should be reported just as visibly as my successes. Otherwise, what looks like an experiment record can quietly become a sales funnel.
Real experimentation produces wins, failures, protocol mistakes, side effects, ambiguous outcomes, and occasionally an expensive “I honestly do not know.”
What I can do is show the complete record as honestly as possible and let people decide for themselves how much weight it deserves.
